European Taxpayers' Association awards European Parliamentarians

For the first time, the European Taxpayers' Association issues a certificate of honor to 19 MEPs across all party lines in the European Parliament in Strasbourg who have rendered outstanding services to the European taxpayer, and especially to SMEs, in the now-ending 2014-2019 legislative period. The candidates were selected in cooperation with SME Connect and the European Economic Senate. Together they represent over 2 million members in Europe. Criteria for the election decision were: 1) political personality 2) closeness to the citizen 3) commitment to the taxpayer 4) SME friendly policy. The categories are the respective relevant committees, delegation leaders of the parties and four special categories.

With this award, the European Taxpayers' Association wants to pay tribute to the returning and new future MEPs’ work and to acknowledge its value and to motivate taxpayers for the new period.
