TAE calls for a return to objectivity

The European Taxpayers’ Association (TAE) is more than surprised that Jean-Claude Juncker, the Luxembourg-born recipient of the Charlemagne Prize and winner of the European Taxpayers’ Prize, is being discredited and subjected to below-the-belt attacks. President Rolf von Hohenhau is more than astonished that, particularly now – in the run-up to the election – when Juncker is nominated for a high-ranking European office, he is being subjected to unjustified criticism.

Juncker, recipient of the highest European Taxpayers’ Award, has not charged a single euro for his voluntary work for the European Taxpayers’ Association over the past few decades. No costs were invoiced, even though the events largely did not take place in Luxembourg, according to TAE President Hohenhau.

President Rolf von Hohenhau now regards the criticism of Jean-Claude Juncker as a crude attempt to discredit a highly respected European politician.

For this reason, the President of the European Taxpayers’ Association, Rolf Hohenhau, is calling on all those involved to return to objectivity.
